It all started with my two dogs

My name is André Engel, I'm 18, and I created Kivelo for my two dogs. They were a big part of my childhood. Today they have grown old. They get up more slowly, they tire more quickly, and I want to give them the best life possible, just as they did for me.

While looking for ways to help them, I found that there are simple solutions to make everyday life easier for an older or large dog: a bed that really supports the body, a way to get into the car, a harness to help them stand up. But they were scattered and often poorly explained. That is how Kivelo was born.

I run Kivelo myself, from A to Z. Launching a brand at 18 is a challenge, so I take it seriously: I choose every product with the same care as if it were for them.

Who is behind Kivelo

Kivelo is an online-only shop, with no physical store. It is run by André Engel, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel, EI), registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register (RCS) under number 131 005 498.

How Kivelo works

I select products from manufacturers and suppliers and sell them under the Kivelo brand. Your order is shipped directly from the supplier's warehouse, in Europe or in Asia depending on the product, with a tracking number. That is why delivery times vary from one product to another: they are shown on each product page, before you buy. I handle customer service, returns and refunds myself.

How I choose

  • A small selection, not a catalogue. I prefer to offer a few products and explain them well.
  • Honest product pages. Each page says which dog the product suits, and which it doesn't. I'd rather lose a sale than see a dog poorly equipped.
  • Clear delivery times. Delivery is free and tracked. The delivery time for each product is shown on its page, before you buy.
  • A real person to answer you. I read your messages myself. A question about a size or a use? Write to me with your dog's breed and weight, and I'll advise you before you order.
